For Florida Homeowners
The answer to a roof-age non-renewal.
A licensed contractor inspects your roof in person. We pull the permit-verified age record from your county. You get a signed Insurance-Readiness Certificate packet — ready to hand to your insurer or agent.
Free to schedule — $999 only when your certificate is issued
Insurers grade your roof from the air. You never see the file.
Across Florida, carriers use aerial-imagery scores and modeled roof-age estimates to non-renew policies — often without anyone ever setting foot on the roof. If your renewal letter cites your roof's age or condition, you don't have to accept a model's guess.
Your rights under Florida law: Under s. 627.7011(5), Florida Statutes, an insurer may not refuse to issue or renew a homeowner's policy on a home with a roof under 15 years old solely because of the roof's age. If your roof is 15 or older, you have the right to a roof inspection — and if it shows 5 or more years of useful life remaining, the insurer may not refuse you solely because of age. Licensed roofing contractors are among the professionals Florida law authorizes to perform these inspections.

Questions, answered
What is the Insurance-Readiness Certificate?
A per-property documentation package: a licensed Florida roofing contractor physically inspects your roof and, when the findings support it, issues a signed certificate documenting the roof's condition and remaining useful life. It's packaged with permit-verified roof-age records from your county's building department and formatted for submission to your insurance carrier or agent.
Can this stop my insurer from non-renewing me over roof age?
Florida law (s. 627.7011(5), Florida Statutes) limits when an insurer can refuse coverage solely because of roof age: under 15 years, age alone is not a lawful reason; at 15 or older, you have the right to an inspection — and if it shows 5 or more years of useful life remaining, the insurer may not refuse you solely because of age. The certificate documents exactly that. Coverage decisions always rest with the insurer, and no document can guarantee an outcome.
What happens if my roof doesn't pass?
We document what's true. If the inspection finds less than 5 years of remaining useful life, no certificate is issued and you pay just $99 for the full documented findings and photo packet — plus a free replacement estimate from a verified contractor, with financing options available. We never issue a certificate the inspection doesn't support.
How much does it cost?
Scheduling is free — no payment is taken when you book. You pay $999 only when the inspection supports certification and your certificate packet is issued. If the roof can't be certified, you pay $99 for the full documented findings and photos, and receive a free replacement estimate with financing options.
Who performs the inspection?

Where is this available?
Manatee and Sarasota counties, Florida. If your property is outside this area, email info@redroofed.com and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help yet.
Important: Red Roofed is a private data and documentation service — not an insurance company, insurance agency, public adjuster, law firm, or government agency. The Insurance-Readiness Certificate documents the findings of a licensed contractor's inspection and public permit records; it is not insurance advice, legal advice, or a guarantee that any insurer will issue, renew, or continue any policy. Whether to accept any document is always the insurer's decision. Statutory references are provided for general information and may change; consult your agent or an attorney about your specific situation. Inspections are performed by independent licensed contractors. If an inspection does not support certification, no certificate is issued and you receive the documented findings instead.
