What Red Roofed is, how the score works, and how to clear a Red status.
Red Roofed is the RoofFax for Homes. We assign every property a roof condition score from 0 to 100, built from public county records, NOAA hurricane history, building-permit data, and verified contractor inspections — so buyers, agents, and homeowners know a roof's true condition before they buy.
Every roof gets a score from 0 to 100. A score of 80–100 is Roof Clear (good condition), 50–79 is Watch (aging, budget for replacement soon), and 0–49 is Red Roofed (end of life, needs replacement).
The score is based on roof age, construction class, NOAA hurricane exposure and storms endured, building-permit history, and verified on-site contractor inspections. A licensed inspection overrides the algorithmic estimate. Our full methodology and data sources are published openly.
A Red Roofed tag is sticky, like a permanent record — it clears only when the county finalizes a roof-replacement permit. Get a free inspection from a Verified Contractor, replace the roof, and once the county finalizes the permit, your status auto-clears on the next scan.
